sweetest dog!! Tundra is still a puppy and acts as such. He is going
to puppy school! We Enjoy them both.

Hi, Dawn!

Here are a couple of pictures of Amy. The first is
one of my favorites...she was helping me plant
flowers. The other two were taken July 10th. She
loves to jump in my husband's lap when he is
sitting. She is very sweet and huggable and we
love her to pieces .

We will be moving October 2nd. I think Amy will
really enjoy our new home in Washington, plus I
think she is going to love the weather...not as hot
as south Texas!

        Julie

PS
I can't believe she was the smallest of her litter.
Our other Mal weighed in at 85 pounds fully
grown! It's funny because Amy thinks of herself
as a "lap dog"...We haven't figured out how to
break it to her that's she's really not...lol!

Hey Dawn!

Kavik was so good on the way home I couldn't believe it.
He cried for maybe the first five minutes of the trip; by
the time we passed the Pilot station he was quietly
munching on the newspaper in the crate. He seemed to
like that better than the toys! He was a bit timid last
night which was to be expected, but when I took him to
our backyard he went nuts and ran all over the place
sniffing every square inch of grass. He barely cried at all
when I put him in his crate to go to sleep. I think the car
trip made him familiar with it so it was comforting for him
to sleep somewhere recognizable. He loves to hang
over the side of the crate whenever I'm on the
computer. So far we've only had a couple of pee
accidents but I've stopped him midway through both
times and took him outside. Thankfully he seems to
know to only poop outside! He really is such a sweetie
and has been so good it's hard to believe. I'll send you
some pictures of him playing in our backyard as soon as
it stops raining here. One question though, when would
you recommend I start brushing his teeth?

Thanks, Kevin
Hi Dawn,

Thought I'd send you an update on Abby.  She has such a sweet
manner.  We're having lots of fun with her.  We can tell she was
given the best care at your place. We most certainly recommend
you when friends are looking to buy an Alaskan Malamute.  Here
are some fairly recent pictures of Abby. Training is going well.
We enrolled her in puppy classes at Pet Smart.  Saturday is
graduation day.  She attends doggy daycare a couple days a
week and has a great time playing with the other dogs.  She's
very popular there.

7 week old kodi/tatonka pup
Hi Dawn, Lacey was spayed last week and is doing great. She is up to 52lbs. She is very loving,
stubborn at times, vocal and loves her brotherBailey. We go to training once a week where she
charms the teacher like youwouldn't believe. I will send another shot of her with Bailey on our
frontporch. They love to sit out there and watch people go by. We adore her and Ithink the
feeling is mutual!!!! Happy fall !!

Hi Dawn,

It looks like you have your hands full with the new litters.  They are all
so beautiful.  I wanted to give you an update on Tonka.  He had his 9
week check up on Saturday, and everyone at the vet’s office just
loves him.  He’s up to 22.8 lbs now.  He’s very healthy, had all his
shots and is scheduled for his 12 week shots and worming on
November 15th.

He is learning so fast!  He’s already very close to house trained.
When I’m at work, he only goes on the puppy pads and when I or my
husband are home he lets us know when he needs to go out.  We
take him out for walks every two hours, so he’s getting lots of walks.
He loves to play football with my husband and brother in law and he
loves to take naps on my lap, although he’s already getting a little to
big for that.

He’s great around other dogs, but you already knew that.  He’s very
confident and curious and has won over our neighbors and all the
neighbor kids.

He’s learned the commands “sit” “down” “out” and “come”.  He knows
“no” but he likes to pretend he doesn’t!  He’s great about only
playing with his toys.  He got himself out of the puppy playpen one
day last week and did not play with or chew on anything he wasn’t
supposed to!  He did though (and this is funny) take all his toys to
the living room, but then (I guess when he heard my car pull up) he
got himself back in the playpen in the dining room. If it weren’t for all
his toys laying around the living room, I’d have never known he was
out.  He learned how to walk up and down the stairs in our house
yesterday morning.  We hadn’t been trying to make him walk up
because we were worried about him falling, but yesterday he just
decided he wanted to go upstairs and up he went!  We watch him
though just in case he slips we want to be there to catch him.

We had a mini-blizzard here yesterday—about 11 inches of snow
fell—it was quite unexpected.  While it made for a nightmare for my
ride home from work and we had no power, it was a ton of fun taking
Tonka out to play in the snow—he kept us out there for a little over
two hours!

I sent you pictures of him last week, I use smilebox to make digital
scrapbooks—it’s easier than attaching a ton of pictures to one
email.  I’m making a new one now with pictures of him in the snow
and then look for another one right after Halloween!

I’ll continue to keep you updated.  I can’t tell you how much the little
guy has already made himself a part of our family.  He’s such a
wonderful, loving, and beautifully tempered dog and we love him very
much.

Thank you for everything!
